In October 2015 Phoenix College was awarded a five year, $2.4 million Title V grant (award number P031S150032) from the U.S. Department of Education. Title V funding helps Phoenix College, and other Hispanic Serving Institutions, be better prepared to support the retention and completion of our students.
Phoenix College’s Title V program is designed to increase student success by strengthening developmental education and implementing on time and proactive academic support strategies. Grant funds will be used to:
- Implement a Student Success Pathway program
- Implement a comprehensive and holistic developmental education program
- Promote the development of Open Educational Resources (OERs)
The goals of the Title V grant are:
Increase student goal attainment and successful course completion
Improve student persistence and completion through the implementation of a holistic developmental education program.
Promote the development of Open Educational Resources to support student success across different modalities of learning (Math).
