Phoenix College’s Dental & Allied Health department offers a variety of degrees, certificates, and courses in a wide range of medical and dental field careers.

The department also operates the Phoenix College Fitness Center, which offers expert instruction and quality service to those enrolled. Whether you are new to exercise or looking to make changes in your current program, highly qualified instructors are always available to assist in helping you achieve your goals.

Health Care Core

Health Care Core (HCC) courses are prerequisite courses for many of the healthcare programs. Students should see a Health Care Advisor in the Advisement Center prior to enrolling in any HCC (Health Care Core) course.

Histologic Technology

The Histologic Technology program trains students to become histotechnicians and provide clinical support to pathologists and researchers.

Massage Therapy

The Massage Therapy Program is designed to provide the essential skills to become a bodywork practitioner. Students may go on to work as a licensed therapist in a spa, health club, medical clinic, or other exciting location.

Medical Assisting

The Medical Assisting program provides training in both the administrative duties of the front office and the clinical procedures generally performed in the medical (back) office.

Medical Laboratory Science

Students in the Medical Laboratory Science Program are trained to become Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLTs) who perform general tests in all laboratory areas such as blood banking, chemistry, hematology, immunology and microbiology.

Phlebotomy

The Phlebotomy certificate program is designed to prepare students to obtain blood specimens by skin puncture or venipuncture using proper technique on adults, children and infants.
