Why Phoenix College?
Global communication has been a key factor in the progression of humanity. With Phoenix College’s World Languages programs, students learn the basic grammar, pronunciation, and vocabulary skills needed to communicate in languages like Spanish, French, and Navajo, amongst many others.
PC offers additional resources to advance foreign language skills by hosting events like the Latino Film Festival and the annual High School Foreign Language Competition, as well as opportunities to study abroad.
While our world languages courses do not lead to any particular degree at PC, these classes often fulfill the general education requirements needed for a certificate or associate's degree. Upon completion of these courses, students have gone on to work as interpreters, translators, travel writers, instructors, and more.
