Dear PC Bears,
As we eagerly move forward with preparations for the Fall 2020 semester, we are embracing purposeful practices to protect the health, safety, and well-being of our Phoenix College campus community. We understand the concerns that you and your family have related to how Phoenix College will operate this Fall. We are committed to providing the best student experience possible while keeping your health and safety as our top priority.
Fall 2020 Updates
- Due to the escalation of COVID-19 cases, our return-to-campus plans continue to be evaluated and modified to best protect your health and safety.
- Services will continue to be offered remotely via phone, email, chat, and online. Using remote services is the safest way for you to interact with PC staff and faculty. We are here to help!
- If you desire in-person services, a small number of Enrollment Services employees will be on campus starting Monday, August 10, 2020.
- Phoenix College will offer access to the technology and staff needed to support your enrollment and success. Contact our Technology Support.
- Face coverings must be worn at all times - both indoors and outdoors - when on the Phoenix College campus.
- Take this self-assessment exam and make sure to stay home if you are experiencing symptoms.
- The majority of courses will be online, live-online, and hybrid-virtual with some limited in-person and hybrid options. Our Learning Options and Safety Measures web page provides information about our efforts to help you be able to continue your studies and stay on track.
- The MCCCD COVID-19 website has additional information for you to stay up-to-date.
We highly encourage you to remain cautious and vigilant to protect yourself and those around you. As you are well aware, it is very important to keep wearing a face covering, staying the appropriate 6 feet of physical distance from others, stay home as much as possible, and to monitor your health and your family and friends too.
We continue to stay in communication with our public and medical officials as we determine the appropriate course of action for a return to campus. Additional updates will be provided as we further assess plans for a safe return.
We care about all our Bears!
Sincerely,
Dr. Larry Johnson
President, Phoenix College
