Phoenix College (PC) proudly celebrates the release of its inaugural writing and art magazine RISE, a student-led project, and publication.
The new, annual magazine published 21 pieces of art, 12 poems, and 9 prose pieces from 28 PC students. RISE editorial staff include: Kevin Flynn, Greg Richardson, Nathan Stewart and Maple Solstice. Publishing faculty are: Joanna (Jo) Robbins and Cody Wilson.
The publication is also made possible by the students and faculty of the Special Interest Writing Course CRW298AC—open for enrollment each fall—and the Creative Writing, English, and Fine Art programs at Phoenix College.
AWARDS
First and second place awards were given to six student artists for prose, poetry and visual art:

CALL FOR NEW ENTRIES & FUTURE EDITORS
PC students are encouraged to submit visual and written pieces for consideration in next year's issue.
Students who are interested in joining the RISE editorial team can enroll for the Fall 2022 Special Interest Writing Course titled CRW298AC.
The course description will appear on the Class Schedule when fall offerings are announced, later this spring.
