Plus 50 Encore Completion Program
Phoenix College is part of a nationwide movement by community colleges reaching out to students who are age 50 and older. The overall goal of the Plus 50 Encore Completion Program is to increase the number of students older than 50 who complete degrees, certificates and/or non-credit certificates in order to increase their labor market competitiveness. The program is sponsored by the American Association of Community Colleges.
For many plus 50-aged adults, a college degree and/or certificate is critical to qualify for jobs, remain competitive in the workforce, and keep their skills current in a rapidly changing job market. Training and credentials from Phoenix College will help you remain in or return to the workforce.
You Have Support
Phoenix College offers the support and flexibility you need to reach your goals, from diverse courses of study to accommodating class schedules to help with financial aid, career advising, counseling and special workshops.
Open Doors to New Fields
Phoenix College offers degrees and certificate programs to prepare workers for careers in the fast-growing industries of health care, education, and social services. The time is right to complete degrees or certificates you began years ago or start new ones to get ahead.
Increase Earning Potential
With every additional level of U.S. workers’ education, their average unemployment rate falls and their average earnings rise. Many of the jobs in the fast-growing fields of health care, education, and social services require some education beyond high school.
Phoenix College can help Plus 50 students identify and gain the skills and credentials you need for higher-paying jobs and new career choices.
