Phoenix College offers a variety of Education courses.

Students who would like to pursue a four-year degree in Education can enroll in general studies and fulfill lower division education requirements at Phoenix College.

This applies to majors in:

  • Elementary
  • Early Childhood
  • Secondary Education
  • Special Education

Wage and employment trends among teachers vary. Employment growth is projected to be strong for both teachers and teaching assistants.

In this program you can earn the following: 

Associate in Arts in Elementary Education (AAEE)

The AAEE is designed for the student who plans to transfer to an Elementary Education program at an Arizona public higher education institution and/or who plans to become a clssroom instructional aide. The degree transfers as a block without loss of credit to Arizona's public universities. All semester credits applied to the MCCD Associate in Arts in Elementary Education also apply to graduation requirements of the university major for which the AAEE was designed. Note: Some courses require field experience.
