Fire Operations Academy

Phoenix College has partnered with Paradise Valley Community College and the Phoenix Fire Department to offer a Firefighter Operations Academy. This is a very challenging and exciting course qualifying you for the Certificate of Completion in Firefighter Operations. Successful completers qualify to test for International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) Firefighter I&II certification through the Arizona Center for Fire Service Excellence (AZCFSE).

Academy prerequisites include EMT104 EMT-Basic, FSC105 First Responder Operations, and a CPAT (Candidate Physical Ability Test) within 12 months. Additionally, FSC134 Fitness and Conditioning for Firefighters is a co-requisite. To be eligible for the FSC102 Fire Operations Class, you must fill out an interest form at the bottom of this page.
