Phoenix College is now enrolling students for Spring 2021 English-as-a-Second Language (ESL) classes. With a variety of courses in grammar, listening and speaking, reading, and writing, students at all levels (from basic to advance) can gain new skills to improve and communicate effectively in real-world settings as well as to prepare for academic and occupational programs offered by Phoenix College or other institutions of higher learning.
Students who enroll in ESL courses at Phoenix College are:
- People who want to get a better job
- Parents who want to communicate with teachers, friends, and neighbors
- Immigrants and refugees who want to learn American culture, traditions, and customs
- Students preparing to continue their education at the university level
- International students
- Students preparing for occupational programs such as healthcare, culinary, media arts, and childhood education
- Anyone who would like to build their confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing English
With small, personalized classes and outstanding student support services, the Phoenix College ESL Program is a great option for English language learners. Additionally, with supportive faculty and staff who are experts in the field, ESL students truly encounter a unique learning experience.
Most classes begin in January; however, some late-start classes begin in February. All ESL classes will meet Live Online, which means classes will have regular meeting times via Zoom during Spring 2021 due to COVID-19. Classes start as low as $85 per credit hour, and financial aid and payment plans are available.
